Welcome
Welcome to our Home!
Matthew House is a not for profit, non-denominational comfort care home. Our mission is to provide a home for people with terminal illness to die with dignity and in comfort.
The concept of Matthew House began with a lovely group of people who provided spiritual support for the dying. They saw a need in families needing additional hands-on help in caring for their loved ones at such a difficult time. From this, a house was born with love.
Since opening in 2002, Matthew House has welcomed over 100 residents. The kindness and compassion that is shown at Matthew House has impacted so many lives in our community, and has created so many new friendships. We are as lucky to have our residents and their families as they are to have us.
We have a very committed Board of Directors, and we are blessed to have Wendy Young, our Residence Director, and our devoted volunteers who show so much love and compassion and provide outstanding care to our residents and their families during their journey.
Every day Matthew House fills a need in our community and provides comfort to many. Matthew House is open to all residents of Cayuga County, Skaneateles and Jordan-Elbridge. Matthew House receives no public funding and is entirely dependent upon contributions. We thank you for your generosity!
We are so grateful for our friends and our Matthew House families.
Welcome to Matthew House!
With warmest regards,

Patricia Vail Dellonte
Board President
